Our History
CrossPointe Church officially launched on April 17, 2005, at the Old Mountain Hill Schoolhouse, but the seeds had been planted for several years. The church’s lead pastor, Brad Evangelista, was on the pastoral staff at Evangel Temple in Columbus, Ga. There, the pastor, Rick Collins, encouraged Brad and his wife, Jennifer, as they sensed the call to plant a church. After much time of preparation and prayer, a small launch team was formed out of Evangel Temple’s young adult ministry. Evangel Temple’s financial support sustained CrossPointe for the first few months, and eventually, once a large enough core congregation had assembled, CrossPointe became self-sustaining within its first year.
