Night of Worship (Oct. 7)
CrossPointe is holding a night of worship tonight at 7 p.m. In addition to singing together, there will also be a time for prayer. Childcare will be provided for small children, but feel free to bring the family and enjoy worshipping together!
Ladies’ Lunch (Oct. 11)
Tuesday, Oct. 11, at noon CrossPointe’s women will gather for food, fellowship and teaching. (Chick-fil-A caters for $5!) E-mail Amy Landeg to reserve your meal. And, yes, there will be childcare for moms!
Youth Activities
Middle School meets Sundays, 6:30–8 p.m.
High School meets Wednesdays, 6:30–8 p.m.
Baptism Class (Oct. 16)
Water baptism is a symbol of the Christian’s unity with Christ in death to sin and renewed life to God. On Sunday, October 30, CrossPointe will have water baptisms during the worship service. Anyone considering baptism must attend this class on Oct. 16 (6:30 p.m.). If you plan on attending, please e-mail Robert Ward.
Potluck Dinner (Nov. 5)
On Saturday, Nov. 5, starting at 4 p.m. CrossPointe will have a church-wide potluck dinner at the home of Daniel & Jenny Hord in Ellerslie. The barbecue will be provided, but everyone is asked to bring a side dish. Please e-mail Amy Landeg by Oct. 29 if you’ll be there!
Oldies But Goodies Lunch
The Oldies But Goodies provide a point of connection for those at least 55 years “old” by meeting for lunch every so often. On Sunday, Oct. 16, the group will meet at Fuddruckers for lunch. If you will be there, please e-mail Sandy Scarborough so she can reserve enough seats!
Haiti Trip
CrossPointe is returning to Haiti in early 2012 to continue construction at a children’s home, work which began with our recent visit last July. The trip will require manual labor but not expertise. Please e-mail Reynold Counts if you have any interest in joining the team. An informational meeting will follow at the end of October.
Young Adults
Everyone ages 18–25(-ish) is welcome at CrossPointe’s weekly young adult meeting/gathering/fellowship/study. Robert Ward leads the group in studying Scripture every Thursday at 7 p.m. in one of the foyer classrooms. For more information, e-mail Robert or visit the group’s blog.
