Rafting

The Middle section of the Ocoee River is over 5 miles of continuous Class III and IV whitewater. It is considered to be one of the best natural stretches of whitewater in the country, ranked one of America's Top Ten Rivers. Why? Because it is family friendly, easy to access and the Ocoee River is dam-controlled so we have rafting water guaranteed all summer long. It is full-on excitement from the time you jump in the boat, with your heart pounding, and drop Grumpy's Ledge all the way to the last breath-taking plunge into Hell's Hole.

Think about it! A full day of rafting! This six-hour trip will give you all you can handle. We start on the Upper River and get warmed up with heavy hits at Mikey's and Edge of the World. Then come the big boys, the Olympic section which includes rapids like Humongous and Godzilla. Just when you think you're not going to make it out of the Gorge, we stop and refuel your body with a delicious lunch (sandwich, chips, fruit salad, drinks and dessert). Feeling better, we jump back on the Middle River for 5 more miles of continuous whitewater. By the time you get back to the outpost you'll be ready to collapse! Sounds like fun, doesn't it!?!?

Paintball: We converted our Hidden Forest into a paintball ground. We have all brand new equipment and are ready for your challenge. All you have to do is wear old clothes, because we provide the gun, mask, air, and paint.  You won't want to stop. We play several games such as Capture the Flag, Last Man Standing and more all under our trained supervisors/refs. Activity time is 3 hours, consisting of as many different games as possible, and includes 500 rounds per participant.

Ropes Course: A ropes course is an obstacle course that promotes teamwork. Can you conquer the 50-ft. Alpine Tower? Challenge yourself to make it to the Team Beam, 20 feet up. Team games and activities can be played here. The Teeter-Totter is great fun, if you know the trick! Grab a buddy and see how far you can make it to the edge. Take a breather in the heart of the Alpine Tower, the Karma Swing. Enjoy the peaceful sway and pat yourself on the back for having made it halfway! Move further up the structure and play on the hanging icicles or climb the cargo net ladder. No matter which route you take to the top, you'll feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment. Less than half of all participants tackle the highest elements. Go at your own pace and challenge yourself to reach higher. Climb on.

Rock Climbing: Rock climbing is convientiently conducted at the Ocoee Outpost. We have a 30-foot rock climbing wall and 45-ft natural limestone rappelling cliff with numerous bouldering areas for training. Participants will become familiar with the techniques of rock climbing and safety procedures. All equipment is provided. Participants will need to dress according to the weather, and need to wear outdoor shoes.

We will be staying at the Cherry Bunkhouse
