Announcements, Nov. 13, 2015

Dear CrossPointe,

We're extending our break from The Sermon on the Mount to think about our responsibility as a local church to care for the fatherless. For the past several years in November, CrossPointe has participated in Orphan Sunday. This is a worldwide movement aimed at helping churches consider how they might live out the implications of the gospel by caring for the fatherless.

Our text this Sunday will be Deuteronomy 10:12–22, a rich passage about how God calls his covenant people to his heart for the fatherless, the widow, and the sojourner. Read the text a few times before Sunday.

And don't forget to join us Sunday evening for our ADOPT(ed) banquet with guest speaker Rick Morton, author of Orphanology. You can RSVP by contacting Nicole Carey.

Looking forward to seeing you Sunday,

Brad
