Basics:
Where: WinterPlace Ski Resort and Country Inn & Suites in Beckley, WV
When: December 28th (7:30am) - 31st (5:00pm)
Cost: Ski: $250, Board: $280, Hang: $170
Who: Crosspointe Youth (high school) as well as families from CrossPointe
What's Covered:
The cost covers everything except snacks, souvenirs, and lunches on the road. This includes 3 nights lodging in a nice hotel, 2 full days skiing (including twilight) over 8 hours per day, all meals, and a retreat hoodie!
Packing List:
Ski/Snowboard Clothing:
- Waterproof pants, or nylon shell to wear over warm pants
- Breathable under layers (long underwear, non-cotton fabrics)
- Fleece
- Gloves/Mittens
- Hat
- Waterproof jacket or parka
- Warm socks (wool works well)
- Goggles or sunglasses
Tip: Pack lots of layers. The weather can change at any minute up in the mountains.
Non-Ski Clothing:
- Casual clothes for meetings and hanging out
- Undergarments
- A warm jacket
- Sleepwear
Miscellaneous:
- Bathing Suit (modest please)
- Camera
- Prescriptions or other medications
Toiletries:
- You should know by now
Nice to Have:
- Your music
- Frisbee and other sports equipment for other activities other than skiing (snow shoes, nordic gear, etc.)
Oh, and one last thing. You can only bring 1 bag and a carry on.
