This Sunday we’re back in Romans as we begin chapter four. In our text, Romans 4:1–8, Paul continues to establish that we are justified by faith in Christ, not by works of the law. To make sure his audience understands what he is saying, he zeroes in on the life of Abraham to hold him up as an example of this great truth. This would have been massive to his Jewish audience—to hear that even Father Abraham was saved by grace. Read the text a few times and come ready to lean forward together this Sunday!
