Preparing for Sunday + Weekly Announcements

Dear CrossPointe,

If you’re a Christian, the Spirit of God dwells in you. That’s Paul’s main point in our text this Sunday, Romans 8:9–11. And, if God’s Spirit dwells in you, just as he raised Jesus from the dead, he will most surely also raise you. These are enormously encouraging words. In this short passage, we see the root and guarantee of our assurance—that God himself dwells in his people and promises to bring them safely home. I’m looking forward to working through this text with you all! 

We’ll also come to the Lord’s Table together on this first Sunday in March.

Member Meeting (Sunday, 6 p.m.) || Every other month, CrossPointe’s members gather to pray for the church and get updates on various aspects of church life. At this meeting, we will also vote to affirm Robert Ward as an elder! Childcare is provided, and non-members are welcome to attend.
 
Women’s Study: Seamless (Tues., 7–8:30 p.m., starting March 6) || Natalie Keller will be leading this 7-week study designed to help women understand the big picture of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Childcare will be available. RSVP to Natalie.

Midweek Fellowship (March 7, 5:45–7:30 p.m.) || Join us for the start of our Exodus series! Dinner ($5/person; $20/family) starts at 5:45 p.m., followed by prayer and Bible study at 6:30. RSVP to Anna Dawson for food and childcare.
 
Youth Parents’ Lunch (March 11, after worship) || Parents of middle- and high-school students are invited to lunch with Will Hawk and Tyler Kirkpatrick as they discuss the upcoming transition in youth leadership. Tyler will also share a general calendar for upcoming events. RSVP to Anna Dawson.
 
Prayer for the Nations (March 11, 6 p.m.) || On the second Sunday of the month, this group prays for missions efforts around the world. Meet at CrossPointe.
 
Men’s Study: Psalms (Wed., 7–8 a.m., starting Feb. 21) || Drew Nelson is leading a 7-week study on various types of Psalms. RSVP to Drew.
 
Serving Widows, Single Moms, and Military Wives || Bill Harrison is assembling a team to serve these women in the church by assisting with various needs (home, auto, yard-work, financial advice, etc.). If you would like to assist or need assistance, please contact Bill.
