Preparing for Sunday + Weekly Announcements
This Resurrection Sunday we’ll take a break from Romans and look at just one verse, Mark 10:45, in which Jesus says of himself, “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Realizing that on Easter we will have more than the usual number of visitors, and realizing that many likely may not be believers, my hope is to clearly explain the most important thing every person in the world needs to hear—the good news of why Jesus came, lived, died, and rose again.
But the gospel isn’t merely for unbelievers, it’s for us! Amid the busyness of the end of Spring break and the joy of Easter Sunday family get-togethers, let’s be sure to prepare our hearts to be nourished by this good news. Let’s pray that God would save unbelievers, encourage the downtrodden, and exhort us all as we gather together.
See you Sunday!
