This Sunday: “Jesus on Missions”
We’re continuing our series “Jesus on the Christian Life” with a look at Luke 9:57–10:12, in which Jesus sends out the disciples after describing the cost of following him. It’s an important text for our understanding of what it means to be “on mission” in this world, and it’s got implications for global missions as well as local evangelism.
If you’ve missed any of the previous weeks’ sermons, be sure to listen to them!
Midweek Fellowship (Wed., 5:45–7:30 p.m., July 11–Aug. 1) || Dinner ($5/person, $20/family) starts at 5:45 p.m., followed by prayer and teaching at 6:30, and childcare is available. For this short series, we’ll consider what makes a church healthy. RSVP to Jacque Hutchinson for dinner and childcare!
Starting Pointe Membership Class (July 28–29) || Not a member? Come hear what we believe, how the church works, and what our mission is. The class is divided into two sessions: Sat., July 28, 9 a.m.–noon; and Sun., July 29, 5–7:30 p.m. (Childcare will be available.) Contact Robert Ward to sign up!
Baptism Class Rescheduled (Aug. 5, 9:15 a.m.) || If you’re thinking about being baptized or just want to learn more about baptism, come to this class taught by Robert Ward. Anyone who wants to be baptized at CrossPointe must attend before their baptism can be scheduled. RSVP to Robert.
