This Sunday: “The Knowledge of Our Lord”

Dear CrossPointe,

It was a blessing to hear from Herbie Newell last week. If you missed it, be sure to listen to his sermon, “The God Who Seeks the Outcast,” here.

This week we’re turning our attention to 2 Peter 1, in which the apostle exhorts his readers to be fruitful in the knowledge of the Lord. What is this knowledge? Where do we find it, and how can we steward it faithfully? These are particularly important questions for us today, and I’m eager to consider it with you!

While we wait for Sunday, here are some practical things you can do:

  • Pray for our church as we gather together this Sunday—that God would be glorified, the saints would be nourished, and unbelievers would come to faith.
  • Pray for our Children’s Ministry crew—that kids would hear the gospel and volunteers would be encouraged.
  • Read 2 Peter a few times.
  • Invite your neighbor to church and lunch afterward!

Looking forward to seeing you all.

Grace & peace,

Robert
