This Sunday: “To Him You Shall Listen”

Dear CrossPointe,

For the next few Sundays leading up to Christmas, Tyler and I will be looking at the three “offices” of Christ—prophet, priest, and king. You probably recognize those titles as important roles in the Old Testament, and our sermon series will consider the ways Jesus fills each of those roles himself. Our hope is that by seeing how Jesus fulfills these OT offices, we’ll worship him even more confidently and joyfully as we think about his incarnation.

This Sunday, Tyler will start out in Deuteronomy 18:15–19 and work through several texts throughout the Bible to show what a prophet was and how Jesus is the truer and greater Prophet. Read the text, and come prepared to worship Christ together!

Drop and Shop (Dec. 15, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.) || Run errands while we watch your kids (4 years–5th grade)! We’ll have lunch and plenty of fun activities to enjoy together. Consider donating a gift to Highland Church’s Christmas store (see below). RSVP online.

Christmas Eve Service (Dec. 24, 5:30 p.m.) || CrossPointe and Mid Tree Church will gather to celebrate the birth of Christ through Scripture and song. Children can wear their pj’s, and we’ll have cider and cookies, too!
