The Lord’s Supper

Dear CrossPointe,
As I mentioned last week, we are taking a short summer break from our Hebrews series, and the plan is to dive into selected passages from the gospels where we see various people encountering Jesus. I trust these sermons will encourage us. But that starts next week!
This week, on the first Sunday of June, we will revisit 1 Corinthians 11:17–34 and consider the what and why of the Lord’s Supper. It’s one of two ordinances that Jesus commanded the church to observe and is essential to the nature and essence of what it means to be a local church together. I’ve been reflecting on and studying the text this week and am so eager to open it up with you all Sunday.
Please also pray for our Uganda team. They’ll leave on Monday for a week and a half of ministry with our dear brothers and sisters from King Jesus Church in Busega.
Looking forward to Sunday!
Brad
