Dear CrossPointe,

This Sunday we’ll look at Genesis 15:1–21, one of the mountain peaks of the Old Testament (and, really, all of the Bible for that matter). In this text, we see God counting Abram righteous because of his faith and confirming his covenant with Abram through a striking and vivid sacrifice. Genesis 15 then becomes the basis of Paul’s argument in Romans 4 for how we are justified by our faith in Christ’s sacrifice for us. The beautiful and breathtaking truths of this text are at the very heart of the gospel and what it means to be a Christian. I can hardly wait for this Sunday! Be sure to read Genesis 15 and Romans 4 before Sunday a few times. Looking forward to seeing you!

Camp in the City Registration Ends Monday! || Pine Cove’s day-camp for kids (entering 1st–6th) is returning to CrossPointe, June 23–27! To register today, visit www.pinecove.com/city/crosspointe.

Sunday Morning Classes (June 8–July 27, 9–10 a.m.) || Two eight-week classes began last week—“Knowing God” (w/Ron Mullins, based on JI Packer’s classic book) and “The Person & Work of Christ” (w/Logan Copley and Robert Ward). Childcare is provided for both. It’s not too late to sign up! Just e-mail Rachel Gibbs or use the Connection Card.

Youth Summer Calendar || Bible Study for middle- and high-school students is on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., with regular pool parties on Sunday nights. Contact Will Hawk about these or the events listed below!
Summer Retreat (June 26–29): Six Flags, rafting, etc.
River Party (August 16)

No Kids’ Church (June 29) || Elementary-aged children are invited to worship with their families in the sanctuary on the fifth Sunday of the month.

Baptism Sundays (June 29 & July 20) || Believers are baptized in obedience to Christ’s command, identifying with his life and death and uniting with the local church. If you would like to be baptized or learn more about what it means to be baptized, please contact Robert Ward.

Midweek Fellowship Returning in July || Every Wednesday in July, we’ll have dinner ($5/person) starting at 5:45 p.m. followed by teaching on personal evangelism at 6:30 p.m. Childcare is provided, and both middle- and high-school youth will have Bible study.

Child Dedication (July 27; class July 13, 9 a.m.) || Parents interested in dedicating their children to the Lord should first attend the class two weeks earlier in Classroom B. Contact Rachel Gibbs to sign up!

Starting Pointe (Sept. 12–14) || Our membership class has three sessions: Gospel (Fri., 6:30–9 p.m.), Community (Sat., 9 a.m.–noon), and Mission (Sun., 6–7:30 p.m.). Childcare is provided. Contact Robert Ward to sign up!
