Resisting the Devil

Dear CrossPointe,

In his book The Screwtape Letters, C.S. Lewis warned that Christians are often prone to extremes when it comes to spiritual warfare: either we think there is a demon behind every tree, or we think too little of Satan and don’t really believe he exists. We end our series in 1 Peter this Sunday with a look at 1 Peter 5:6-14 in which the apostle instructs the church on how they are to be sober-minded and watchful in their battle against the devil.

There is much for us to see in this text, so take the time to read it before Sunday and pray for God to give us wisdom. Looking forward to gathering with you Sunday to worship our King!
