Robert "The Intern" Ward & other important stuff

Tribe,

A few quick things:

ROBERT "THE INTERN" WARD

I recently mentioned that Robert Ward is interning at CrossPointe again this summer. Like last summer’s internship, he will be writing articles, developing the website and performing general administrative duties, but I’ve given him some additional responsibilities for this summer. As my assistant, Robert will help me with weekly activities like sermon preparation and some pastoral care, but he will also manage my calendar and help me more efficiently meet your needs as lead pastor by scheduling various meetings and appointments. I hope his new role will ultimately help me better serve CrossPointe this summer. Ladies, don’t be offended if he calls you to schedule time with me but not a date with him. He’s taken. :-) (he wrote that!).

THIS SUNDAY // "CHRIST IS ALL" - COLOSSIANS 3:5-17

I say this a lot but the verses we will cover this Sunday in Colossians are massively important. The first two chapters of Colossians were heavy in doctrinal truth and in chapter 3 Paul starts to unpack what this truth should look like on the ground in the Christian life. Take some time to read Colossians 3:5-17 several times before Sunday. You will get so much more out of Sundays if you come having chewed on the verses yourself before we do corporately. Really looking forward to this Sunday. Bring your Bibles. Get ready to lean forward in the foxhole.

MOTHER'S DAY THIS SUNDAY

Husbands and sons, consider yourself reminded! We are planning to honor womanhood and moms in a unique way this Sunday.

NEW ARTICLE ON EXPOSITIONAL PREACHING

Ever wondered why we mostly preach straight through books of the Bible at CrossPointe rather than jumping around individual verses of the Bible? There's a reason for it! This type of preaching is generally called expositional preaching. Robert Ward and I have collaborated on a short article explaining this important value at CrossPointe. Take a moment to read it by clicking here.

Looking forward to worshiping our Great God and King with you this Sunday!

Grace & Peace

Brad
