“He Himself Is Our Peace” (Eph. 2:11-18)
Dear CrossPointe Tribe,
This week we’ll look at Ephesians 2:11-18, and then next week we’ll finish out the remaining three verses of chapter 2. This second half of Ephesians 2 is one of the most important passages about the church and what it means for us to be the body of Christ.
If you’ve been around CrossPointe for awhile you know that there are three words that drive our philosophy of ministry—Gospel, Community and Mission. These words represent three questions we must continually ask as a church. What has God done for us in Christ? How has he called us to live together? What has he called us to do? The next two weeks will deal heavily with that second question and the role of community in the local church.
Please take some time to prepare your heart for Sunday by reading these texts and praying.
- Ephesians 2:11-18
- 1 Corinthians 12:12-31
- Pray for God to give new life to those dead in sin.
- Pray for Christians to be both convicted and encouraged in the Lord.
Grace and peace,
Brad
