Dear CrossPointe,

In our text this week, Romans 3:9–20, Paul wraps up his case against all humanity before a holy God. It’s a stunning indictment in which he concludes that all the world stands before God with their mouths shut and no excuses to make. Admittedly, the language of this passage may sound harsh to our ears, but that’s likely because we’ve been weaned more on self-esteem than biblical truth.

As I hope we’ll see, we can’t truly understand the good news until we understand the very bad news of our natural state before God and our utter dependence on His grace in Christ. Take some time to read through the passage a few times and prepare your heart for the Lord’s Supper, which we’ll receive together as a church family.

Looking forward to seeing you!

Brad
