Announcements, June 5, 2015

Dear CrossPointe,

This afternoon I will be traveling to Uganda with a team from CrossPointe to partner with the ministry of (un)adopted alongside Pastor Raphael and King Jesus Church. I encourage you to take a moment to watch this short video about the ministry, Pastor Raphael, and his church. Pray for our team's outreach in this community, particularly among these vulnerable children. Also, on Wednesday of next week, I'll have the opportunity to share with approximately 30 local Ugandan pastors about gospel-centered ministry in the local church. Pray that this will be a fruitful time!

The next two Sundays, Will and then Wayne will be preaching out of the Psalms. Take some time to read Psalm 30 which will be Will's text this Sunday. After these next two Sundays, we'll start 1 Thessalonians on June 21. I'll miss being with you!

Baby Bottle Boomerang (Now ‘til Father’s Day)
Grab a bottle, fill it with loose change, bills, or checks, and return it on Father’s Day to help support Sound Choices pregnancy clinic. Go to the table in the foyer for more info!

Summer Kids’ Church (1st–3rd Grades)
Continue to register your child with KidCheck before the service but drop off your child in Classroom B during the service after announcements. This change will last until the end of construction in Kids’ Church/Youth.

Child Dedication Sunday (July 26; Class, July 12)
If you are a member or moving toward membership and would like to dedicate your newborn or newly adopted child to the Lord, you must first attend our class in Classroom B on Sunday, July 12, at 9 a.m. Contact Wayne Shealy to sign up!

Ladies’ Lunch (June 16, noon)
Meet in Classroom A as we study spiritual disciplines together over lunch ($5 Chick-fil-A). Childcare starts at 10 a.m. RSVP by e-mailing Nicole Carey!

Youth Summer Retreat (June 25–28)
All middle- and high-school students are welcome to join us for Six Flags, whitewater rafting, and camping in Sweetwater, Tenn. Cost TBA. Please contact Will Hawk for more details.
