Dear CrossPointe,

Every time we end a series through a book of the Bible I feel like I go through a kind of withdrawal. I’ll miss 1 Timothy and hope it has been beneficial to us as a church. On that note, I feel a pastoral burden to share with you some of my reflections from 1 Timothy about our life together as a local church. So, this Sunday will be a bit unique in that I will not expound on a particular text, but rather seek to reflect and apply some of the key themes of 1 Timothy to CrossPointe as a body. I’m looking forward to it!

Next Sunday we’ll begin a short Advent series as we look at Christ in the Old Testament, and then we’ll begin Romans in the new year. Can’t wait!

Grace and peace,

Brad

Newcomers’ Lunch (Sunday, after worship) || If you’ve begun attending CrossPointe in the last few months and would like to know more about the church, please join us for lunch after worship! The pastoral staff will be on hand to introduce themselves as well. Childcare will also be available. E-mail Molly Copley to sign up!

New Children’s Ministry Curriculum Lunches || If you currently serve in CM rooms 7–11, be on the lookout for an invitation in the mail. We’ve chosen a new curriculum for CM, and we want to tell you all about it! When you get your invitation, pick a Sunday (Nov. 27, Dec. 4, or Dec. 11) and get excited to see how we’ll be reaching our kids with the gospel in the upcoming year.

Women’s Christmas Ornament Exchange (Dec. 2, 6:30–9 p.m.) || Join the women of CrossPointe for an ornament exchange! Bring a $5 ornament (wrapped and ready to swap) and a dish to share. E-mail Sarah Conaway to sign up!

Starting Pointe Membership Class (Dec. 3–4) || Membership in the local church is where Gospel, Community, and Mission intersect. Whether you’re interested in joining or just want to know more about CrossPointe, please come to this two-session class (Sat., 9 a.m.–noon; Sun., 5–7:30 p.m.). We’ll provide childcare as well as food. Contact Robert Ward to sign up!

“One Another” Member Meeting (Dec. 4, 6–7:30 p.m.) || There will be an additional member meeting this year in order to propose our 2017 budget and conduct a Q&A with elder candidate Reuben Moyana. As always, childcare will be provided, and non-members are welcome to attend.

Young Adults: Fall Schedule || Contact Will Hawk if you’d like more information about these upcoming events: Prayer (Dec. 7); Christmas Party (Dec. 14); Bible Study resumes (Jan. 18).
