Announcements, Oct. 30, 2015
In our text this week, Matthew 5:27–30, Jesus deals with the weighty topic of lust and sexual sin. I think we all realize that our culture is a cesspool of sexual brokenness. It goes without saying that fighting sexual sin, resisting temptation, and finding the hope that the gospel holds out are massively important for us to consider as a church.
Please pray that the Lord would do great things among us Sunday. Pray that God would severe roots of habitual sin. Pray God would restore and heal devastated hearts. Pray God would give hope and joy for people dealing with the residue of sexual sin. Pray that collectively we’d see Jesus as more satisfying than the counterfeit pleasures this world tries to seduce us with.
Looking forward to gathering with you this Sunday.
Grace and peace,
Remember to “fall back” Saturday night!
