Announcements, Sept. 18, 2015

Dear CrossPointe,

This Sunday we’ll zero in on the Beatitudes, specifically Matthew 5:1–9. As we established last week, the Beatitudes and the rest of the Sermon on the Mount are not ethical laws that we must keep so that God will accept us, but rather they are what the Christian life should look like because God has made us alive in Christ. But beyond just having personal implications, the Beatitudes and the rest of the Sermon give us a picture of what life should, could, and will look like in the Kingdom of God.

Take some time to read and meditate on Matthew 5:1–9. In fact, why not consider memorizing the Beatitudes? Pray for God to speak to His people Sunday and draw unbelievers to faith in Christ. Looking forward to seeing you!

Ladies’ Gathering: “Come See, Come Hear” (Oct. 30–31) || Join the women of CrossPointe for a weekend studying the book of Ruth! Child Dedication Class (Oct. 11, 9 a.m.) || If you are a member or moving toward membership and would like to dedicate your newborn or adopted child to the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 25, you must first attend this class in Classroom B. Contact Wayne Shealy to sign up!
