COVID-19 Update (April 23)

Dear CrossPointe,

In case you missed it, the governor of Georgia announced this week that he is relaxing restrictions on various businesses, allowing them to reopen as early as Friday. What does this mean for churches like CrossPointe?

For now, we will continue to live-stream our services and not meet in person.

Since the governor’s press conference, we have participated in several conference calls with Georgia Baptist Convention representatives, including members of Governor Kemp’s staff, to help us understand the implications of these guidelines for churches our size. In short, the recommendation across the board from these entities is that churches our size should continue conducting online services and not meet in person.

We certainly want to gather in-person as soon as possible, but the elders are in agreement that doing so at this point would be unwise and potentially bring reproach on the witness of the church.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me or any of the elders. I’d also encourage you to watch this brief video in which I explain our situation in a little more detail.

Trusting in the Lord’s good providence with you!

Brad
