This Sunday: “Hope in God”

Dear CrossPointe,

On these last two Sundays before my sabbatical (Read more about that here.), my plan is to preach two individual sermons—one in the Psalms and another in Colossians. This Sunday we’ll be in Psalm 42, a beautiful and raw song about hoping in God in the middle of dry seasons and dark nights. I’m hoping the psalmist’s experience will help us practically apply the glorious doctrine we’ve been learning about in Romans. The following Sunday, Nov 4, I plan to preach from Colossians and share with you more specifically what my hopes are for us as a church in 2019.

For now, read Psalm 42 a few times before Sunday. It’s a powerful text that exhorts us to hope in God no matter the circumstance. And, finally, we’ll celebrate the gospel together as a church family this Sunday as we witness three baptisms!

I’m looking forward to gathering with you!

Grace and peace,

Brad
