This Sunday: “One Body, Many Members”

Dear CrossPointe,

Our text last week called us to be living sacrifices, not conformed to this world but transformed by the renewal of minds. And we can’t do this alone! God has given us one another, the local church, to be a body together that serves and nourishes itself so that together we become a tangible display of the gospel we confess. That’s what our text this week, Romans 12:3–8, is all about—serving one another as members of the same body, the church.

The local church is the soil that God gives for every believer to be planted in. But cultural forces of consumerism and individualism fight against this biblical vision for life together. Our challenge as we work through this text will be to let the Bible inform our understanding of the Christian life rather than culture.

I’m eager to dive into this text with you! It’s an important passage for the life of the church.

I’m grateful for you, CrossPointe!

Brad
