Rom. 8:26-27 + Announcements, Oct. 31
Romans 8:26–27, “The Spirit Helps Us Pray”
Last week’s text was both encouraging and sobering—encouraging because we can be sure that God’s suffering children have an incomparably glorious future, but also sobering because we are in the middle of dealing with the reality of suffering in this life.
So, our future is certain, but what about now? What help is there for us in the present? Has God left us to fend for ourselves until that Day? No! Our text this week, Romans 8:26–27, gives us the beautiful promise that the Spirit helps us pray and intercedes for us, even though we are weak and confused.
I’m really looking forward to working through this text with you. Take some time to read, meditate on, and memorize it before Sunday. We’ll also take the Lord’s Supper as a church family this Sunday. I encourage you to prepare your hearts as we come to the table.
