Dear CrossPointe,

While Brad and Will are in Uganda we’re taking a break from the book of Daniel to spend some time in the New Testament, specifically 2 Corinthians. As I’ve been preparing this week, 2 Corinthians 4:1 keeps coming to mind: “Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart.” This passage makes me ask two questions:

1. Why would Paul lose heart?
2. Why doesn’t Paul lose heart?

We find answers to these questions in the surrounding text (4:1 is just a starting point!), and you’ll be absolutely shocked to discover that the Gospel has something to do with it. My prayer is that Paul’s ministry will encourage our own ministry to the lost and to one another.

Looking forward to Sunday. Hope to see you all then!

MWF (June 22–July 27) || Mark your calendars for the return of Midweek Fellowship on Wednesdays this summer! Our series will focus on the Holy Spirit and related topics. As before, dinner will be at 5:45 p.m., followed by teaching at 6:30. Dinner will be $5/person, and childcare will be provided!

Children’s Ministry Training (July 10, 9 a.m.) || Due to summer schedules and military moves, we need roughly 30 people to start serving in order to be fully “staffed” on Sunday mornings. Volunteers serve only 8–10 times/year! Ask your child’s Room Lead for an application today or just e-mail Cristin Wise to sign up.

“One Another” Member Meeting (July 10, 6–7:30 p.m.) || Every other month, CrossPointe’s members gather to discuss matters pertinent to church life, pray for one another, and affirm new members. Childcare is always available, and non-members are welcome to attend.

Registration Open for Vacation Bible School (July 11–15, 9 a.m.–noon) || Mark your calendar for VBS! It will be open to rising K–5th graders for a cost of $20, the proceeds of which will support Clement Arts. To register your child(ren) or volunteer to serve, click here.

Baby Bottle Boomerang (May 8–June 19) || Every year, Sound Choices pregnancy clinic raises money by distributing baby bottles to be filled with loose change (or cash/checks). If you’d like to donate, grab a bottle from the foyer, fill it up, and return it to the church by Father’s Day.
