Go On to Maturity

Dear CrossPointe,
Our text this week (Hebrews 5:11–6:3) is a strong exhortation—really a scold—for believers stuck in spiritual infancy to grow up and mature in Christ. The preacher of Hebrews implores us to press on, to keep moving, and to not stay in the same place we were when we first came to Christ. If we do, we are in danger of falling away (which is what the rest of Hebrews 6 is about).
It’s really a simple point to get—grow up! But what does growing up into spiritual maturity look like, and how do we pursue it? Answering these questions will take up much of our time this Sunday. I’m looking forward to this one. We need it. I need it. Let’s dig in together.
In Christ,
Brad
