God Creates Man in His Image

Dear CrossPointe,

While last week was a wide-angle look at God’s creation of the universe, this week we’ll zoom in on God’s special creation of mankind. To do this, we’ll start by reaching back into chapter one and looking at Genesis 1:26–2:25. Once again, the truths in these first few chapters of Genesis are essential for rightly understanding the whole Bible.

This week we’ll consider what it means to be human and created in the image of God. Also, we’ll look at what it means to be male and female and how God created the genders to complement, not compete with each other. To say there is confusion about these truths in our culture is an understatement.

As always, read the text a few times before Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you all!
