God's Sovereign Rule Over the Nations

Dear CrossPointe,

This week we’ll pause our Mark series to think biblically about God’s sovereign rule over the affairs of the nations, especially ours. I pray that this Sunday will help prepare our hearts for the upcoming presidential election.

We are prone to do one of two things when it comes to elections: put too much hope in a political party or cynically disengage from the whole process. But the Bible calls us to avoid both of these extremes and posture ourselves in a way that commends the Gospel and our true hope, Christ, to the onlooking world.

We’ll be all over the Scriptures this Sunday, but for now I encourage you to read the passages below.
