Gospel-Fueled Sanctification

Dear CrossPointe,

We’ll unpack yet another rich and gospel-packed passage this Sunday in 1 Peter 1:13-25. Peter’s logic in these verses is really important for us to see. Essentially he is saying that in light of what God has done for his people in Christ, and in view of their inheritance that lies ahead, they are free to fight sin and be holy with a tenacious hope in grace. In short, he calls them to cinch up their belts and fight sin by remembering the gospel, and then to love one another. So much application for us!

Read the text a few times before Sunday and come ready to worship our great God and King!
