Jesus on the Resurrection
CrossPointe,
In Mark 12:18-27, Jesus is questioned by the Sadducees (a Jewish sect) about life after death. Because they don’t believe in resurrection themselves, they challenge Jesus’ claims with a hypothetical story about a woman with seven (now dead) husbands. They ask, “Whose wife will she be in the resurrection?” hoping to undermine Jesus by making his claims about the resurrection look absurd and chaotic. Jesus’ brief response is packed full of truth and implications for the Christian life.
Take some time to read the following passages to help prepare your heart and mind for this Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you!
Mark 12:18-27
John 11:25-26
1 Corinthians 15
Grace and peace,
Brad
