The Humble, Persistent, and Certain Kingdom
Dear CrossPointe,
This Sunday we’ll look at Mark 4:21-34, which is connected to Jesus’ parable of the sower that we looked at last week. Lest his disciples be discouraged that 3 out of 4 “types of soil” don’t bear fruit, Jesus teaches them that the Kingdom, although it starts very small, will most certainly grow—even if that growth is too gradual to perceive.
There are numerous implications for us as a church, as we think about our efforts to spread the gospel, and for us as individuals, as we consider our responsibility in our own growth in Christ. Take some time to read and reread Mark 4:21-34 a few times before Sunday. Looking forward to seeing you!
Grace and peace,
Brad
