“The Difference Between the Righteous and the Wicked”

What’s the difference between the righteous and the wicked? A lot could be said, but our text this Sunday, Malachi 3:13–18, boils it all down to one thing—the fear of the Lord. The wicked did not fear him and even went so far as to say it was vain to serve God! But others, the righteous, heard his rebuke and feared and esteemed his name. Then Malachi tells us that the Lord “paid attention and heard them” and promised to make those who feared his name his treasured possession.

Once again, the point of the text is quite clear. Whether or not a person fears the Lord determines if they are amongst the righteous or the wicked. So what does this look like for us? What does it mean to fear the Lord? How should we live in light of this text? Pray for the Lord is help us think through and apply these truths as we gather this Sunday.

Looking forward to seeing you!
