This Sunday: 2 Thessalonians 1:3-12
Dear CrossPointe,
I love how Paul prayed for the churches he planted and the people he loved. His prayers are so full of faith in God’s goodness and affection for his brothers and sisters. They are saturated in confidence that God will bring about his good work in his people.
One thing I hope God will deepen in me and in us is during this pandemic is more of this type of praying for one another. We are just so often instinctively and blindly individualistic in our culture. We confess the need for community, but much of the time we operate in a default “do-it-yourself” mode.
How can we fight this? How can we resist this current of self-reliance? By getting better at loving one another through prayer! So, to that end, we’re going to study a few of Paul’s prayers in the coming weeks. This Sunday we’ll look at 2 Thessalonians 1:3–12. This text is so rich and encouraging. I’m eager to dig in with you “on-line” this Sunday at 10:30am.
I’m grateful for you each of you!
Brad
