“Follow Jesus”

Dear CrossPointe,
This Sunday we’ll get into John 1:35–51 and the account of Jesus’ first interactions with several of his disciples. There’s much for us to glean in this passage about what it means to follow Jesus. Like we did last week, my plan is to work through the text verse by verse and conclude with some reflections on how this passage helps us understand discipleship and the Christian life better.
As I often say, I urge you to read the text several times before Sunday. Ask questions of it. Ask the Lord for understanding. Ask him to use our time together on Sunday to make us all more like Christ and to draw any unbelievers to faith.
Beloved, we get to worship the Lord together week after week. What a joy! Let’s not squander the Lord’s Day. Let’s come ready to stir one another up to love and good deeds and exhort one another in the faith.
I’m grateful for you, CrossPointe!
Brad
