Why does the world hate Jesus?

What a joy it was to have Pastor Conrad Mbewe with us again last Sunday. If you missed it, you can listen to his message here. It was a feast! You can also watch his talk and Q&A about missions and church planting from Sunday night here.

This Sunday we are back in John’s Gospel. Specifically, our text is John 7:1–13, which sets the scene for mounting public opposition to Jesus. Our passage records a conversation between the Lord and his brothers that is very illuminating. In it, Jesus tells us that the world hates him because he testifies that its works are evil. As we live in a day that is increasingly hostile to the Gospel, there is much for us to consider from this text as we seek to follow Jesus faithfully. I trust our time will help build up and strengthen us.

We’ll also receive communion together this Sunday since we did not last Sunday due to having Pastor Mbewe with us preaching. I’m looking forward to coming to the Table with you, church. Let’s examine and prepare our hearts as we approach Sunday.
